Introducing the LG KG920, the first 5 megapixel camera phone!

For a few years, camera phones have been quite successful on the consumer market. The ability to take a picture anywhere, anytime has been a wonder for many cell phone users.

However, the quality of the pictures taken from a camera phone has never been quite the same as the quality you can get from digital cameras. Among the factors determining the quality of a digital photography is the number of megapixels the device supports. In general, the more megapixels, the better the picture will look, especially at higher resolutions.

While most camera phones have from 0.3 to 2 megapixels, LG has announced the KG920 camera phone, which has 5 megapixels, the equivalent of a mid-range digital camera.

The LG KG920 also features a lot of options like white balancing, ISO settings, multishots, bringing the phone up to par with most digital cameras out there.

The maximum resolution you can get out of your pictures is 2592×1944, which is quite impressive. More than enough to fill your computer’s desktop!
