How can I unlock my cell phone. It's a samsung with camera. It's a con job that these company's are doing. Like AT&T's go phone. I had one for my wife and the beeping letting you know when minutes are running, and it was driving her crazy,so I got those to phone's. Well, the money that I was paying in on that Go Phone was stacking up. It was almost at the $500.00 limit. AT&T kept telling me that I needed to get a New Package. I got these new phone's and asked them if they could move the money that was building up on the Go Phone. AT&T said,NO, and I asked if I could cash in and get the money out that I've paid in? and they said, NO. So, I told them, well, that means that the money that I was paying in on that phone is just gone. The girl said, that's right. I'm sorry. Yea, right.
Well, I'm going to AT&T and tell them that the money that built up on my wife's Go Phone,They can take that money and put it against the bill on the phone's that I owe. Boy, I get MAD when I think about what these cell phone company's are doing to us out here!!!!!

I think that is a great idea. I think that when people go into a store and buy a cell phone that is their phone and shouldn't be locked. I hate it when company's do things like that. I paid a lot of money for my phones.I got one for me and one for my wife. Then, in Nov. she pasted away and gave my wife's cell to our youngest daughter so I could keep in touch with her. Now, I can't, because,we were disabled, and now, I can't afford to keep the phones on with AT&T. I think that they put a lot of stuff on the phone that I didn't know about. I HATE that. Is there some way or some place that will unlock my phones that won't cost me an arm,a leg and a body to get them unlocked?????
Can you help me out or tell me how???
Thanks!!!!!

I like the way you've organized this very informative plus a cost/benefits analysis of unlocked phones. The only thing thats bad about unlocked phones right now in the united states is their costs but some carriers are starting to sell them with service plans so you can get one for cheap with a contract and than at the end of your contract you have an unlocked phone and u can move on to the next carrier if you don't like the service of your current carriers. I think unlocked phones are going to make carriers more responsible and reliable as computation grows to hold on to their customers.
